Hamas Responds to Confidential Clauses in Gaza Ceasefire Agreement
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shihab news Agency, Hamas has denied the existence of secret clauses in the ceasefire agreement ending the Gaza war.
A Hamas leader told Al Jazeera, “The reports about secret provisions in the Gaza ceasefire deal are entirely untrue. We are closely monitoring the implementation process by the occupying regime, and Hamas is prepared to face all potential scenarios.”
Meanwhile, the Prisoners Affairs Data Office stated that no formal agreement on a list of prisoners subject to exchange has been reached yet.
The office’s statement added: “If a final agreement is achieved, an official list will be released through our authorized communication platforms.”
The Al Arabi television network also reported, citing several sources, that new meetings on prisoner issues will take place today.Hamas insists on adhering to the list agreed upon yesterday.
According to Al Jazeera, negotiations regarding the Palestinian prisoner list due for release from Israeli prisons are progressing rapidly and have entered their final stages.
