Italy Declares Readiness to Participate in Gaza Reconstruction
According to the English section of webangah news agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Saturday: “I have discussed a ceasefire in Gaza with my American counterpart. we are working together to implement President Trump’s peace plan.”
The Italian foreign minister added, “We are committed to helping create conditions for stability in Gaza.We stand ready to participate in peacekeeping, security missions, and reconstruction efforts in Gaza, including rebuilding schools and hospitals.”
After 735 days of the devastating war waged by the Israeli regime against the people of Gaza and following a ceasefire and withdrawal of Israeli forces toward the “yellow line,” hundreds of thousands of Palestinians headed toward Gaza City. The city has suffered widespread destruction during the conflict.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Ministry of Interior reported that measures to restore order have begun. Civil defense forces also launched extensive search operations to locate missing persons and recover the bodies of martyrs from beneath the rubble.
Last night, Hamas, Islamic Jihad Movement, and the National Front issued a joint statement expressing their readiness to engage with Arab and international participation for rebuilding Gaza. The statement firmly rejected any form of external tutelage.
