Trump’s Deputy: No Plans to Deploy Ground Forces to Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, JD Vance, former Vice President under Donald Trump, said in an interview with NBC on Sunday that Israeli captives will be freed from Gaza at any moment.
Vance further stated there are no plans to send ground forces to Gaza or Israel (the occupied Palestinian territories). He added that the U.S. President intends to welcome the captives during his upcoming visit to the Middle East. american troops stationed in the region will oversee the ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The official also commented on widespread unrest within the United states, saying Trump has not ruled out invoking the Insurrection Act-which would allow military enforcement of order without congressional approval.
Vance’s claim of no American troop deployment contrasts with earlier reports by Reuters quoting senior U.S. officials who said 200 soldiers would be sent as part of a joint special force aimed at stabilizing Gaza.
