Trump: Afghanistan and Pakistan, Wait – I’m Coming Back!
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and The Independent, US President Donald Trump, repeating his previous claims about ending wars worldwide, stated that his next step will be to end the current conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Trump claimed about this dispute: “I have heard there is a war going on between Pakistan and afghanistan.I said this (war) should wait until I return. This will be the eighth war that I resolve becuase I have a talent for settling conflicts and establishing peace, which is my pride.”
Answering a question about mediating between the Israeli regime and Hamas, he added: “It is indeed my honor. I saved millions upon millions of lives.”
Reacting to not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize,Trump further asserted: “To be fair regarding the Nobel Committee,I must say it was meant for 2024. Of course, some say exceptions can be made because many things happened in 2025 that were wholly successful and extraordinary. But I didn’t do these things for the Nobel Prize; I did them to save human lives.”
The Gaza ceasefire agreement includes Hamas releasing all Israeli prisoners (alive or deceased) in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians held in tel Aviv prisons. While fighting in Gaza appears to have eased over recent days, border clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan escalated.
The Pakistani military claims 23 soldiers were killed in the deadliest clash between Islamabad and Kabul since the Taliban’s rise to power in Afghanistan in 2021. Reuters reports that Taliban sources also claim nine Afghan forces were killed during these clashes.
however, both sides assert they inflicted far heavier losses on each other. Pakistan alleges it has killed more than 200 Afghan fighters including Taliban-affiliated forces; meanwhile, Taliban officials claim killing 58 Pakistani soldiers.
Kabul maintains its forces responded only after Pakistani military violated Afghanistan’s airspace and territory. Islamabad previously confirmed airstrikes targeting alleged hideouts of terrorist groups such as Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan inside Afghan territory.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for Afghanistan’s caretaker government, claimed Afghan forces captured 25 Pakistani border posts and wounded 30 Pakistani soldiers.
Mujahid added that conditions along official borders and informal boundary lines are under full control with significant prevention of illegal activities.
