Kushner and Whitaker Deny Genocide: “It’s as if a Nuclear Bomb Exploded in Gaza

Senior U.S. presidential advisor refuses to confirm genocide in Gaza Strip despite⁣ acknowledging‌ its devastation following Israeli attacks.

According to the English section⁢ of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency‍ and CBS, Jared Kushner,⁢ senior‍ advisor and son-in-law of former U.S. ‌President Donald‌ Trump-often called the architect of White ⁢House​ Middle East policy-acknowledged ⁢the extensive destruction in the Gaza Strip but declined to recognize a genocide committed by⁤ Israel there.

Kushner and Steve ⁣Witkoff,Trump’s ‌special envoy ‌to West Asia,discussed issues including the⁤ fragile‌ ceasefire ‌between Hamas and Tel Aviv during an interview on ⁢CBS’s “60 Minutes.” Both denied that Israel had committed​ genocide in‌ Gaza throughout their ‌conversation.

Responding to‍ a question about the situation in Gaza‌ after the ceasefire, ‍Kushner described visiting an area “almost like ‌a‌ place where ⁢an⁤ atomic bomb has exploded.”

He added that when he asked‌ an Israeli military⁣ officer where Palestinians were moving to,⁢ he was told: “Look ⁤around; everything is‌ rubble.” The officer ⁢said Palestinians were ‍returning only to areas where their homes had been destroyed and setting⁤ up tents on what remains of their land.

Kushner continued: “It’s very ⁤sad because you‌ think they really have nowhere ⁢else to⁣ go.”

Despite ⁢these ⁤tangible observations, both Kushner and​ Witkoff firmly rejected labeling these events as genocide. Witkoff claimed: “Definitely not. There has just been a⁣ war‌ going on there.”
