The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters, reported that milei’s party outperformed the Peronist coalition in Buenos Aires province with 41.5% of the vote and won 64 seats in the Chamber of Deputies nationwide. Previously, the party held just 37 seats.
In his victory speech, Milei said, “The people of Argentina have shown they do not want too return to a failed model.”
The Argentine congressional midterm elections took place on October 27, 2025.
Reuters noted that this victory provides Milei with a renewed mandate to continue his bold economic reforms.
Analysts say this result strengthens the government’s political position against opponents and enhances Milei’s ability to advance austerity measures.
Milei is considered an ally of former U.S.President donald Trump in Latin America. Washington has pledged a $40 billion support package to help improve Argentina’s economic situation.
