Seyarto: Sanctions Against Russia Have Failed to Achieve Their Goals

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing TASS via Mehr News Agency, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó reiterated his government’s opposition to the European Commission’s proposal to fully ban Russian oil and gas by early 2028, and also the European Union’s energy sanctions against Russia.
szijjártó emphasized that these sanctions have not achieved thier objectives and have not brought an end to the conflict in Ukraine. Nevertheless, EU leaders refuse to change their policies despite these failures.
The Foreign minister warned that “they aim not only to weaken Europe’s economy but also its energy security. We will fight this until the end and will use all available political and legal tools to ensure Hungary’s energy supply security.”
Szijjártó assured members of parliament that his government will reject Brussels’ proposed approach.
