Lebanon Files Complaint Against Zionist Regime at Security Council

According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al-Nashra, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has instructed Foreign Minister Youssef Raji to direct Lebanon’s permanent mission at the United Nations to submit an urgent complaint to the Security Council. The complaint concerns Israel’s construction of a concrete wall along Lebanon’s southern border that crosses beyond the Blue Line, established after Israel withdrew in 2000.
The president also requested that this complaint be accompanied by United nations reports rejecting Israel’s denial of building this wall. These reports confirm that the Israeli army’s concrete barrier prevents residents of southern Lebanon from accessing more than 4,000 square meters of their land.
according to information from Lebanon’s presidency, international reports verify that UNIFIL forces have notified Israel about the need to remove the wall. Continued Israeli presence on Lebanese territory and related activities violate Security Council Resolution 1701 as well as Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
