Islamic Jihad: US “Peace Council” a Cover for Israel’s Full Domination
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting mehr News Agency via Shehab News Agency, Mohammad al-Hajj Moussa, spokesperson for the Islamic Jihad movement, told Al-Aqsa Network that the US proposal to establish what it calls a “Peace Council” aligns with Israeli objectives and represents an implementation of occupiers’ goals.
He emphasized that the “peace Council” serves as a cover to solidify Israeli dominance over the Gaza Strip. Its aim is to grant economic and property powers to the United States designed to force Palestinians from their land.
Al-Hajj Moussa highlighted that “we have no trust in the US government and consider it dependent on Israel,” adding that every clause in any agreement must be subject to negotiation.
The spokesperson also asserted that Israel and the United States seek Palestinian submission, while the occupying regime intends to destroy its people.
Reacting to the Palestinian Authority’s stance on Washington’s peace plan, he warned: “Agreeing with America’s proposal is equivalent to shooting oneself in the foot.”
He called for a unified position against Israeli plans and stressed accountability for Tel Aviv by exposing its crimes.
Concluding,he declared: “This American plan is unacceptable in our view. We will oppose it and never consent to guardianship over Gaza.”
