Islamic Jihad: Security Council Resolution Equates to Collaboration with the Zionist Enemy

The Islamic Jihad Movement ‍described ⁤the U.S. ⁣plan ⁣to deploy an international force in Gaza as a fulfillment‍ of Zionist directives ⁤and emphasized that those ⁤implementing this plan are complicit in Zionist crimes.

The Islamic Jihad Movement of⁢ palestine rejected the American proposal approved last night by the⁤ United Nations Security Council. According to webangah News Agency, citing Palestinian Shehab ⁤News Agency via⁢ Mehr News Agency, the movement ‌stated that ⁣this decision amounts ⁤to international tutelage over the Gaza Strip and is opposed by all segments and internal forces.

Islamic ⁣Jihad said ‌the goal of⁣ this measure is to achieve objectives that the ‍occupiers could not reach through their ⁤repeated wars. Moreover, it‍ argued that this resolution ‍attempts to ‍separate Gaza from ⁣other Palestinian territories and‍ imposes a‍ new reality contrary to the unchanging principles ‍of the Palestinian nation,⁣ depriving them of their right to self-determination.

The statement added: “Our people’s right to resist occupation by all legitimate ⁢means ⁣is guaranteed under international law, ⁢and armed resistance ensures this right. Thus,⁢ any transfer ⁢of responsibilities to an international force aiming at disarming resistance constitutes complicity with enemies in implementing Zionist directives.”

The statement stressed humanitarian aid and relief for victims ⁢as a moral obligation but condemned turning these efforts ‌into tools ⁤for political pressure⁢ or blackmail.

Islamic Jihad highlighted ‌that imposing an American-led governing body internationally over part of the Palestinian people without their consent violates international law.

It further criticized the plan for neglecting fundamental issues of justice, including prosecuting war criminals and holding occupiers accountable‌ for ongoing crimes against Palestinians. The proposal also ignores lifting the ⁢oppressive siege and reconnecting Gaza with‌ occupied ⁤Palestinian territories-actions seen as supporting a strategy aimed at fragmenting⁤ Palestine’s geography and facilitating annexation policies ⁤alongside forced displacement pursued by Israel.
