Damascus has consistently condemned repeated violations of its sovereignty by Israel and reaffirmed its commitment to a ceasefire agreement brokered by the United Nations in 1974 between both parties.
Israel declared its unilateral annulment of this 1974 agreement following the fall of bashar al-Assad’s regime in late 2014.
