US Official: Time to End the War in Ukraine Has Come
The US envoy to the UN Security Council stated, “I hope we all agree that the war in Ukraine will not end through military means,” according to webangah News Agency citing Mehr News Agency and Al jazeera.
He added that the costs borne by all parties in the Ukraine conflict have been devastating and emphasized that it is time to bring this war to an end.
The American official also confirmed that the US will continue supplying weapons to Ukraine for its self-defense.
He warned that if Russia continues ignoring ceasefire calls, additional economic sanctions could be imposed on Moscow.
Earlier, the White House announced ongoing negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine and stated that former President Trump supports a proposed peace plan.
The white House further noted Trump’s frustration with both sides involved in the conflict.
