Putin Responds to U.S. 28-Point Proposal
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Rosia Al-Youm via Mehr News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized today that the U.S. plan to resolve the Ukraine issue has not been formally reviewed but was raised only in general terms.
He added that former President Trump’s plan for the Ukraine crisis had been discussed prior to the Alaska meeting. russia announced during this meeting that despite difficulties, Moscow agreed with proposals from the american side.
Putin stated that during talks on resolving the Ukraine crisis,Washington asked Russia to concede certain points. After Alaska,however,U.S. engagement stalled and blamed this on opposition from Kyiv. The new version of this plan emerged following a pause in negotiations and is an updated form of Trump’s original 28-point proposal.
He noted that so far, America has failed to secure Kyiv’s agreement with its plan. Russia remains ready for peace talks regarding Ukraine. Kyiv does not have accurate facts about conditions on the battlefield.
The Russian president stressed that both Ukraine and its allies are deluded by thoughts of defeating Russia. He said Trump’s revised plan could serve as a foundation for ultimately resolving the Ukraine issue. No one in either Ukraine or Europe fully understands the consequences of ignoring developments on the battlefield.
