According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Global Times, Chinese foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Serajuddin Mohideen. During the meeting,Wang expressed recognition for Tajikistan’s firm support of beijing’s core interests concerning Taiwan. He emphasized that China will never allow right-wing forces in Japan to turn back the clock on history, foreign powers to interfere in the Taiwan region, or Japan’s military remilitarization to be revived.
Wang added that China is willing to cooperate with all parties to uphold international consensus on the ”One China” principle and jointly safeguard the achievements of victory in World War II.
Tensions between these two Asian nations have intensified recently, largely triggered by remarks from Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi about any potential Chinese military action against Taiwan.
The Japanese Prime Minister warned that an attack on Taiwan threatens Japan’s existence and could prompt Japanese military intervention.
China has demanded a retraction of these statements from Japan’s Prime Minister and urged its citizens to avoid traveling to Japan. This move has resulted in widespread cancellations by Chinese travelers, possibly causing significant economic losses for Japan.
