Russian Official: Too Early to Discuss Negotiation Outcomes

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Leonid Slutsky, advisor to the Russian president and chairman of the State Duma’s Committee on International Affairs, told Al Jazeera: “We are ready to negotiate regarding Ukraine, but it is too soon to speak about results.”
he stressed that some parts of the agreement are confidential and cannot be discussed. He added that U.S. pressure is pushing ukraine toward a more positive stance.
The head of the Duma’s International Affairs Committee stated he believes talks between Washington and Kyiv have a chance for success.
Slutsky said: “There are issues raised by Trump that we cannot withdraw from. We await proposed amendments to the American document before stating our position.”
The Russian official underscored that his country will show no flexibility in accepting Nazi ideology within the Ukrainian government.
Notably, U.S. President donald Trump recently claimed progress has been made toward resolving the Ukraine crisis.
