Will Damascus Respond Militarily to Israel’s Attack on Beit Jann?

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, quoting Sana, ibrahim Al-Ebi, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, condemned the israeli regime’s attack on Beit Jinn in rural Damascus. He emphasized that syria will respond to this attack at various levels and according to international law.
He stated that Syria is taking actions across different platforms and will not fall into provocations by the occupiers. Instead, it will respond through internationally recognized methods while prioritizing the protection of the Syrian people.
Al-Ebi highlighted that Syria will work diplomatically to isolate Israel internationally and cut off support from its allies. At a recent Security Council meeting, the Israeli ambassador listened as representatives from 15 countries condemned Israel’s attacks and stressed the importance of maintaining Syria’s territorial integrity and respecting its sovereignty. Efforts are underway to extend the mandate of UN peacekeeping forces in order to maintain security and stability along contact lines.
The Syrian representative added that a direct military response is currently not planned. Instead, efforts continue both on the ground and within international forums to demonstrate Syria’s commitment to the 1974 disengagement agreement and UN Security Council resolutions-an approach more troubling for Israel than a direct military retaliation.
