Retired Israeli Army General Points to an Unprecedented Crisis Threatening the Regime’s Military Capabilities.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al-Masirah, retired Israeli Army General Yitzhak Brik admitted that the Israeli military faces an unprecedented personnel crisis that threatens its military strength.
He added that thousands of officers and soldiers are seeking to leave the army, while young Israelis are reluctant to commit to permanent military service.
brik has previously acknowledged that in terms of troop numbers, technology, and quality, the army is ill-prepared for a regional conflict.
He further stated that the size of the ground forces today is only one-third of what it was 20 years ago.
