Iraqi Forces Continue Operations Against ISIS Remnants in Western Iraq

According to⁤ the⁤ english section of webangah ‌News ‌Agency, citing Wa’a and Mehr News Agency, Iraqi forces carried​ out a successful intelligence ⁤operation deep ​in the Anbar desert. They targeted one of ISIS’s ⁤longstanding⁤ hideouts in⁢ the Al-Qa’im area, seizing a ‌important cache ​of weapons and ammunition.

The Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate issued a ⁤statement announcing that following ⁢its ⁣prescribed approach engaging intelligence operations, the Intelligence and‍ Security ‍Division⁣ of the⁤ Seventh Infantry Brigade​ launched an assault on a terrorist cell’s hideout. This location ⁤had been‌ used by ISIS prior to cities being liberated from their control in Al-Qa’im, Anbar.

The statement added that numerous outdated weapons and ammunition were discovered inside this hideout. These arms ⁣were⁤ subsequently destroyed on-site⁤ by‌ the Engineering Battalion of the brigade.
