Qatar Condemns Israeli Attacks, Calls for Gaza Ceasefire
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar has voiced strong condemnation of Israeli actions in Gaza and surrounding regions. Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, described the attacks in the Gaza Strip as a dangerous escalation of the situation. She called for immediate efforts to preserve the existing ceasefire agreement.
Al Thani reiterated Qatar’s support for the upcoming international conference on the reconstruction of Gaza, which is slated to be hosted by Egypt. She emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing the aftermath of the conflict and providing assistance to the affected population.
In addition to the Gaza situation, the Qatari representative also strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s aggression and attacks on the outskirts of Damascus, citing civilian casualties. She further denounced the bombing of the Ein Al-Hilweh camp in Lebanon, which resulted in the death and injury of numerous civilians.
