Russia Faces Over 31,000 Sanctions from US, Western Allies Since 2014

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia has faced over 31,000 sanctions from the U.S. and Western countries since 2014, according to a report by Rianovosti. Citing data from the analytical website Castellum, the report indicates the majority of these sanctions have been levied by the United States, Canada, and Switzerland.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to new sanctions from London, telling Rianovosti that Moscow does not recognize illegitimate sanctions circumventing the UN Security Council. She added that Russia reserves the right to retaliatory measures.
Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, stated at the OSCE Ministerial Council that the 19th package of EU sanctions against Russia has been approved, and work on the next package is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Kyiv Post, citing an anonymous European diplomat, reported a palpable concern among Europeans regarding the United States’ potential shift towards Russia’s position on the conflict in Ukraine.
The diplomat voiced concerns that such negotiations between Moscow and Washington could marginalize NATO and the European Union.
Russia has repeatedly asserted its resilience against sanctions pressure, accusing the West of lacking the courage to acknowledge the failure of its sanctions policy.
