The US Secretary of Defense ordered attacks in Yemen from the hospital

According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin last night ordered an attack on dozens of centers related to Ansarullah in Yemen from his hospital bed.

CNN news website reported, citing a Pentagon official, that Austin ordered CENTCOM to carry out these attacks, and after the attack, he talked with the National Security Council of the White House, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the commander of CENTCOM.

Lloyd Austin was hospitalized on January 1 due to complications from prostate cancer surgery. He did not inform US President Joe Biden and Congress of his hospitalization.

The US Department of Defense first mentioned Austin’s illness last Friday. The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense at that time claimed that he had discharged his duties. However, a few days later it was revealed that Austin was still hospitalized at Walter Reed Medical Center and was performing his duties remotely.

Hospital officials said that the US Defense Secretary On December 22, he underwent an “aggressive auction process” but was re-hospitalized on January 1 for treatment of a urinary tract infection. Asked by reporters when he learned about Austin’s hospitalization, Biden said: “This matter came to the attention of the president today.” The Red Sea against Israeli ships targeted more than 12 points in Yemen with planes, ships and submarines. According to American officials, training sites, airbases, and drone maintenance facilities belonging to Yemeni Ansarullah were the targets of this attack. Following this attack, Palestinian groups including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement while supporting the people of Yemen. They condemned the missile attack.
