Lebanese Foreign Minister Apologizes to Iranian Counterpart for Postponing Tehran Visit

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese sources report that Foreign Minister Youssef Raji of Lebanon has apologized to his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, for not being able to accept an invitation to visit Tehran under the current circumstances.
In a letter, Raji clarified that his inability to accept the invitation should not be interpreted as a rejection of dialogue, but rather that the present atmosphere is not conducive to such a visit.
The Lebanese Foreign Minister expressed his full readiness for a new era of constructive relations between Lebanon and Iran based on mutual respect.
In his message to Araqchi, Raji emphasized his firm belief that a strong state can only be built when the government, solely through its national army, holds the exclusive right to bear arms, and when decisions regarding war and peace rest entirely with the government.
