Federal Judge Overturns Trump’s Order on National Guard in Los Angeles

A U.S. federal judge has nullified an order by President Donald Trump to deploy the National Guard in Los Angeles. The ruling mandates the forces be placed back under the control of the state’s governor.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a federal judge has rescinded President Donald Trump’s directive to station the National Guard in Los Angeles, according to court documents.

The judge’s ruling stipulates that the forces must revert to the authority of the governor of the state.

In previous months, President Trump commented on protestors in Los Angeles objecting to his immigration policies, saying, “These are animals. They proudly carry flags of other countries but do not carry the American flag. They only burn it. Did you see how much they burned? This is not done by our people or those who love our country.”

Trump further stated that the Los Angeles police had not acted as aggressively as U.S. soldiers, while local officials maintain that deploying the National Guard has exacerbated unrest rather than quelled it.
