Russia Claims Capture of Sieversk in Eastern Ukraine; Kyiv Denies Loss
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov announced the capture of Sieversk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, congratulating troops on their advance, while Ukrainian forces deny the city’s fall. Reports indicate Russian forces are pushing forward on the northern front, breaching Ukrainian defenses.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has announced the capture of Sieversk by Russian forces. Belousov congratulated the troops for liberating the city, which is located in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Belousov reported that Russian soldiers are confidently advancing on the northern front, breaking through Ukrainian defenses. The Russian claim comes as Ukrainian military officials deny that Sieversk has fallen to Russian control.
