Hamas Warns Against Israel’s West Bank Settlement Expansion

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has issued a strong warning against the continued settlement policies of the Israeli regime in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) emphasized that Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich’s decision to approve the construction and legalization of 19 new settlements in the West Bank is a dangerous act of escalating tensions aimed at implementing a plan of annexation and Judaization.
In a statement, Hamas said that this action reflects the extremist nature of the occupying regime’s cabinet, which treats Palestinian land as colonial spoils and is trying hard to consolidate settlements in order to gain full control of the West Bank.
Hamas stressed that this action and similar decisions taken before it are a continuation of the policy of stealing land and imposing colonial realities by force, which is a clear violation of international law and Security Council resolutions that prohibit all forms of settlement construction. The movement warned that the expansion of settlements also aims to drive the Palestinian people towards silent displacement as part of a project to evacuate the West Bank.
Hamas affirmed that these plans will not succeed in breaking the steadfastness of the Palestinian nation in their land or stopping their efforts to achieve their rights. The movement called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to take responsibility in the face of this unrestrained colonial behavior and take practical steps to stop the expansion of settlements and bring the occupying leaders to trial for their crimes against the Palestinian people, land, and holy sites.
