Erdogan to Discuss Ukraine Peace Plan with Trump

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Saturday that he plans to discuss a peace proposal for Ukraine with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Erdogan emphasized the need to ensure the safety of shipping in the Black Sea, asserting that the area should not be used for settling scores, as it would not benefit either Russia or Ukraine.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously reported that a foreign vessel belonging to a Turkish company was damaged in an attack on the port of Chornomorsk in Ukraine.
The ministry’s statement highlighted Ankara’s ongoing concerns about the potential for the conflict in the region to spread to the Black Sea and affect maritime security and freedom of navigation.
