Report: Israeli Soldier Suicide Brings Total to 61 Since Gaza Conflict Began
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a report from the Israeli newspaper Haaretz indicates that an Israeli soldier committed suicide inside a military base in the northern occupied territories by shooting himself.
Haaretz reported that the soldier was critically wounded after the self-inflicted gunshot and later died in the hospital.
Previously, the Israeli military had stated that a soldier was severely injured in a shooting at a military base in northern occupied Israel and was taken to a hospital. The statement added that military police had launched an investigation into the incident.
An official Israeli report published by the Israeli Parliament’s Research and Information Center on October 28, 2024, revealed that 279 Israeli soldiers had attempted suicide since the beginning of 2024.
