Iraqi PMF Launches Security Operation in Southwest Kirkuk

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have initiated a joint security operation in the southwest of Kirkuk province, targeting wanted individuals and bolstering regional stability, according to reports.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the 61st Brigade of the PMF’s Northern and Eastern Tigris Operations Command executed a joint security operation in the areas of Al-Atba, Al-Khalaf, and Al-Khadr, as well as several areas within the city of Al-Hawija, located in the southwest of Kirkuk province.

The operation involved the participation of local police, federal police, and other security and intelligence agencies, conducted within the framework of high-level coordination among security forces.

The stated objective of the operation is to pursue wanted individuals and strengthen security and stability in the targeted regions.

A statement indicated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts by PMF forces and other security bodies to consolidate security and expand stability across all sectors.
