North Korea Warns Japan’s Nuclear Ambitions Must Be Curbed

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, North Korea‘s Japan Institute, under the foreign ministry, has released a statement condemning Tokyo’s nuclear ambitions as a grave threat to regional security. The institute emphasized that Japan’s efforts to acquire atomic weapons reflect long-standing ambitions rather than mere rhetorical slips, warning of potential nuclear catastrophe in Asia if such plans proceed. The statement specifically referenced remarks by an unnamed Japanese official advocating for nuclear armament, asserting that Tokyo has crossed a red line by openly revealing its nuclear aspirations. The North Korean response comes after Japan’s Kyodo News reported comments from a source within Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s office supporting nuclear weapons development.
