Trump’s Envoy Proposes Joint Syria-Israel-US Operations Room in Jordan

The US has proposed establishing a joint operations room involving Syria, Israel, and American forces in Jordan, according to reports from Israeli media, with discussions to focus on disarming southern Syria and Israeli withdrawals.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a proposal for a tripartite operations room involving Syria, Israel, and the United States in Jordan has been put forward by US Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barak. The plan, reported by Israel’s Channel 12 and cited by Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen network, was presented during recent talks in Paris.

The initiative aims to facilitate negotiations on disarming southern Syria and coordinating Israeli troop withdrawals. The proposal also seeks to stabilize current military positions along the Syrian-occupied Palestinian border while preventing unilateral actions by any party.

Barak’s plan outlines that the joint operations room would address political, military, and intelligence cooperation matters. Additionally, it includes provisions to transform border areas between Syria and occupied territories into an economic zone, with funding expected from Persian Gulf states.
