Russia’s UN Envoy Condemns US Threats Against Cuba, Warns Against Venezuela Scenario

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, has denounced recent US threats against Cuba, emphasizing that the country will not experience a repeat of the Venezuela scenario. Nebenzya stated that while some officials in Venezuela had betrayed their country, the United States would find no easy path in Cuba.

The Russian diplomat further criticized the UN, claiming the organization has lost any moral authority to participate in Ukraine-related negotiations. He accused the Secretary-General of taking sides in the conflict.

Nebenzya also remarked that NATO’s relevance has diminished, a fact he said has been recognized by US President Donald Trump.
