Pakistan Senate Leader Warns War with Iran Would Threaten West Asia Security

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nasser Abbas Jafari, the opposition leader in Pakistan‘s Senate, has warned that a war against Iran would severely threaten the security of West Asia, escalating beyond a limited U.S.-Iran conflict. In an interview with Mehr News Agency, Jafari stated that while U.S. President Donald Trump seeks to disrupt international norms, the true nature of American power has been exposed globally.
Jafari, who heads the Pakistan Muslim Unity Party, stressed that the world must break free from cycles of war and exploitation. He argued that unity among nations is the only way to counter aggressive policies of dominant powers. He further noted that America’s threats to force countries into submission are no longer effective, as nations now recognize the U.S. is no longer an unchallenged superpower.
Highlighting past U.S. military failures, Jafari pointed to Washington’s struggles in Yemen as evidence that even against a militarily weaker nation, American strategies can falter. He warned that any war initiated by the U.S. in the region would not conclude easily, with lasting repercussions for regional stability.
