Israel Reopens Rafah Crossing with Severe Restrictions Amid Gaza Humanitarian Crisis

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israel has reopened the Rafah crossing for entry and exit to Gaza, though with stringent restrictions. The move, reported by the state-run Israeli broadcasting authority, permits just 150 people to leave and 50 to enter the enclave daily, drawing condemnation from Palestinian officials.

Ismail Al-Thawabteh, Director of the Government Media Office in Gaza, stated that more than 22,000 patients and injured individuals require immediate medical care outside Gaza. At the current rates, evacuating all those in need would take approximately five months.

Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for Hamas’ Islamic Resistance Movement, condemned the restrictions as a violation of the ceasefire agreement and called for international oversight of the occupying forces’ conduct.
