South Korean F-16 Fighter Jet Crashes During Night Training Exercise

A South Korean F-16 fighter jet crashed during a night training exercise in Yeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, with the pilot successfully ejecting from the aircraft.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an F-16 fighter jet belonging to the South Korean Air Force crashed on Wednesday during a night training exercise. The incident occurred in Yeongju, located in the North Gyeongsang Province.

The pilot of the F-16 managed to safely eject from the aircraft before the crash. This incident follows closely on the heels of another F-16 crash, which occurred less than 24 hours prior in Turkey, resulting in the death of its pilot.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a versatile, single-engine supersonic jet fighter aircraft developed by General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin) for the United States Air Force. It is widely used by air forces around the world, including South Korea and Turkey.
