Russia Denounces UN Resolution on Ukraine, Citing Disruption of Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding a recent United Nations resolution on Ukraine, asserting that the move by Kyiv and Western countries was intended to disrupt the negotiation process.
The ministry noted that discussions held at the UN indicated a growing weariness within the international community regarding the situation in Ukraine. Furthermore, it highlighted that the limited global support for the anti-Russian resolution at the UN signifies a division within the transatlantic community over the Ukraine issue.
The UN General Assembly convened to vote on a draft resolution reaffirming support for “enduring peace” in Ukraine. The resolution passed with 107 votes in favor, 12 against, and 51 abstentions. During this vote, the United States abstained, while Russia voted against the resolution.
