IAEA Chief Discusses Regional Developments with Egyptian Foreign Minister

Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, held a phone call with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Sunday to discuss the implications of recent regional developments and emphasize the need for de-escalation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, held consultations with Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, on Sunday regarding the consequences of recent regional developments.

The consultation, which was conducted via telephone, focused on the region’s developments and their impact on regional security and stability, as reported by Al-Youm Al-Sabaa, citing Mehr News Agency.

Both sides underscored the necessity of reducing tensions and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to prevent the spread of conflicts in the region.

During the phone call, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stated to Grossi that respect for the sovereignty of countries, adherence to the principles of good neighborliness, self-restraint, and prioritizing dialogue are essential.
