US Company Delays Satellite Image Release from Region to Two Weeks

US-based Planet Labs has extended the delay for releasing satellite imagery from the Middle East, increasing the blackout period from four days to 14 days. This decision aims to prevent the misuse of such images against the United States and its regional allies.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Planet Labs, an American company, has expanded restrictions on the release of satellite images from the region, intending to prevent their use against the United States and its allies. The company has informed its users that the delay for publishing images related to the Middle East has been extended from four days to 14 days. Previously, it was announced that Middle Eastern imagery would be released four days after capture; however, this period has now been extended to 14 days. The Israeli regime is also heavily censoring news to prevent the dissemination of images depicting damages incurred from Iran’s missile attacks.
