US Embassy in Baghdad Targeted by Drones; UAE Consulate in Erbil Attacked

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CNN has reported that the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was targeted by two drones. A security source, cited by the television network, confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, Reuters, also quoting security sources, reported that the UAE consulate in Erbil was attacked by an offensive drone. Further details on these incidents have not yet been widely released.

Earlier in the day, Al Jazeera had announced that air raid sirens were activated at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. Media reports indicated that the embassy, located in Baghdad’s Green Zone, was subjected to a drone attack, with a plume of smoke rising from within the compound.

Iraqi sources had stated that the radar of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was targeted and damaged by a suicide drone.
