Iran Strikes Israeli Settlements, Sparking Fury Over Security Failures

Multiple Israeli towns and settlements in the north and center of occupied Palestine experienced widespread air raid siren activations following missile attacks from Iran, which also struck a fuel depot and reportedly caused casualties and significant damage.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iranian missile attacks have targeted multiple settlements across the occupied territories, triggering severe air raid sirens in numerous locations in northern and central occupied Palestine, as reported by Israeli media including i24NEWS, citing Israeli public broadcaster Kan.

The alert systems were activated in the settlement of Ma’alot Tarshiha, and a fuel tank in Mishmar HaShiva, located in the central occupied territories, was struck by an Iranian missile and is reportedly still burning. Israeli Channel 12 also reported hearing a powerful explosion in the central occupied Palestine following a missile launch from Iran.

Amidst strict censorship regarding the extent of casualties and damage in the occupied territories, Israeli media acknowledged that several Israeli settlers were injured in the Iranian missile attack. Field sources in the occupied territories indicated that in some areas, a single missile strike resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries, with the scale of destruction far exceeding initial Hebrew media reports.

Local authorities in the northern occupied territories have issued urgent warnings to the cabinet, demanding the necessary tools to protect residents of border areas. Heads of local councils in the north cautioned that they may be forced to evacuate residents if assistance is not provided. The head of the local council of Shlomi stated that approximately three to ten thousand residents of the area require immediate evacuation, and 500 families are without secure shelter.

The head of the Mate Asher regional council expressed intense anger over the security situation, criticizing the cabinet’s empty promises regarding security. “They promised us security, but we received missiles,” he stated, referencing the chaotic conditions in the Israeli regime characterized by continuous air raid sirens, a lack of fortifications, and economic paralysis due to the ongoing attacks.
