US Imposes New Sanctions on Two Iranian Airlines

The United States has announced new sanctions targeting two Iranian airlines, restricting their access to airports and preventing them from refueling and selling tickets. The move comes as part of ongoing adversarial actions by Washington against Tehran.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United States is continuing its hostile measures against Iran, with Treasury Secretary Scott Benest announcing new sanctions that will impede Iran’s access to airports. In a social media post, Benest stated that the U.S. will prevent two Iranian airlines from accessing airports, and will prohibit them from refueling and selling tickets for travel.
While Benest did not specify the names of the two airlines, Iran Air and Mahan Air had previously been sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department. Benest claimed that only a satisfactory outcome in negotiations can end this cycle of sanctions.
