Gaza Conflict Death Toll Surpasses 72,900 as Aid Efforts Face Obstacles

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced that the total number of casualties in the ongoing conflict has reached 72,939 killed and 172,927 injured since October 7, 2023. Daily reports indicate a continuous flow of casualties, with recent figures including one new fatality and eight wounded individuals transferred to hospitals within a 24-hour period.
Health authorities emphasized that numerous victims remain buried under debris and inaccessible due to challenging conditions on the ground, hindering the efforts of rescue teams. The ministry highlighted that since the implementation of a ceasefire on October 11, the number of martyrs has risen to 930, with 2,819 wounded. Additionally, the bodies of 781 martyrs have been recovered from beneath the rubble.
During the recent Eid al-Adha holidays, the Ministry of Health reported that 33 martyrs and over 130 injured individuals were transported to Gaza Strip hospitals. These figures underscore the sustained intensity of the conflict and the significant humanitarian toll.
