Lebanese Parliament Speaker Praises Iran’s Stance on Halting Attacks

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has lauded Iran’s insistence that a cessation of attacks on Lebanon be the primary condition for any agreement to end the ongoing conflict. The remarks came during a phone conversation with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has expressed appreciation for Iran’s firm position demanding an immediate halt to attacks on Lebanon as a prerequisite for any ceasefire agreement. This acknowledgment was made during a telephone discussion today, Tuesday, with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran.

The two parliamentary leaders reviewed the evolving situation in Lebanon amidst escalating tensions instigated by the Israeli regime. Discussions also focused on the policy of collective and forced displacement of residents from southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, as well as exploring effective strategies to terminate the Israeli regime’s assaults.
