According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s Civil Defense has activated the emergency warning system in the Al Kharj province, with sirens sounding in the region. The alert was issued via the National Early Warning System for Emergencies to notify the public of a potential danger.
Al Kharj province is considered an important region in Saudi Arabia, located near the Sultan Air Base, a critical military installation in the country. Concurrently, reports have emerged of several explosions heard near the Sultan Air Base in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Official Saudi authorities have not yet released further details regarding the cause of the warning or the nature of the reported explosions.
