Former Israeli Military Official Acknowledges Strategic Significance of Iran’s Missile Response

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a former commander of the Israeli occupation army’s air defense has stated that Iran‘s missile response to the regime’s alleged aggression against the southern suburbs of Beirut holds significant strategic messages. Tzika Haimovich, formerly in charge of air defense for the Israeli army, wrote in an article that the response first signifies the strengthening of the Iran-Hezbollah axis and the importance of the group for Tehran.
Secondly, Haimovich highlighted Iran’s missile power, noting that the country has proven its ability to retaliate against Israeli military actions in Beirut with a barrage of missiles. This indicates that Iran has maintained its offensive capabilities despite previous attacks.
Thirdly, the article suggests that Iran has not been defeated, as its reaction demonstrated resilience following the recent conflict. The response also conveys a message of pressure to the United States, urging an improvement in its stance during negotiations.
Haimovich further elaborated that Iran’s response carries two additional strategic messages that will influence Israel in the near future: the establishment of a new equation where Israeli occupied territories would be targeted in retaliation for aggression against Beirut’s southern suburbs, effectively equating Beirut with Haifa. He also pointed out that the Israeli regime cannot pursue the same military attack policy against Iran that it has applied to Hamas or Hezbollah, implying that Tel Aviv cannot engage in continuous conflicts with Iran.
