UK Prime Minister Welcomes Washington-Tehran Agreement on De-escalation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has expressed his support for the recent diplomatic agreement reached between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Starmer described the development as a crucial step in de-escalating tensions.
In a formal statement, the UK Prime Minister conveyed his appreciation for the efforts of Donald Trump, as well as the mediation roles played by Qatar, Pakistan, and other regional actors instrumental in achieving this agreement.
Starmer stated, “The agreement between Washington and Tehran is a very important step towards ending the war, ensuring regional stability, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.”
The British Prime Minister further added, “Britain and France are ready to assist in mine clearance within an agreed framework.”
He concluded by emphasizing the need to focus on the full implementation of the memorandum of understanding to guarantee and permanently keep the Strait open.
