Netanyahu Vows Continued Operations in Lebanon Despite U.S.-Iran Peace Deal

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has informed U.S. President Donald Trump that the Israeli occupation army will maintain its positions within Lebanon. Sources familiar with the matter reported that Netanyahu conveyed to Trump that the Israeli regime will not withdraw from Lebanon and does not consider itself bound by provisions related to Lebanon in an agreement with Iran.
Netanyahu also emphasized that the Israeli regime will continue its operations to eliminate the threat posed by Hezbollah. While Tel Aviv claims to be conducting operations against Hezbollah, it has consistently targeted Lebanese infrastructure and residential areas.
This comes as the Prime Minister of Pakistan announced, “Following intensive negotiations, we are proud to declare that a peace agreement has been reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both parties have announced an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon. The official signing ceremony will take place on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.”
It is noteworthy that the Israeli regime has not adhered to any of its agreements with regional parties and has violated ceasefires signed with Lebanon thousands of times.
