France is grappling with a severe heatwave, which has tragically resulted in 40 drowning deaths across the country in just five days, prompting Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu to urge public caution. The extreme temperatures, exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in many cities, have disrupted daily life for nearly ten days, leading to the suspension of education in hundreds of schools.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, France has been severely impacted by an intense heatwave, with recent figures revealing 40 drowning fatalities nationwide over a five-day period. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu addressed reporters following a crisis committee meeting, issuing a stern warning to the public regarding the extreme heat and emphasizing the need for caution. The fatalities, confirmed since June 18, highlight the perilous conditions residents are facing.

The severe weather conditions have been affecting daily life in France for approximately ten days. The alert level has been elevated to red in 54 provinces as of today, reflecting the widespread severity of the heat.

Temperatures have soared above 40 degrees Celsius in numerous cities. This has necessitated the suspension of classes in hundreds of schools, impacting the educational continuity for many students. Despite numerous promises, Paris has yet to implement effective measures to curb the death toll attributed to the extreme heat within the country.
