Hezbollah Secretary-General: US-Israeli Project Defeated in Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, stated during his Ashura commemoration speech that the day of Ashura symbolizes sacrifice, generosity, and eternity. He characterized the Ashura scene as a genuine revolutionary mobilization that alters equations and topples oppressors.
Sheikh Qassem emphasized that the trust placed in them by martyrs, the wounded, and prisoners is a responsibility they will uphold, protecting the cause for which they sacrificed. He noted that they are not merely facing a historical Karbala but a continuous Karbala connecting the past, present, and future.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon highlighted that they confronted a war aimed at eliminating Hezbollah’s existence, its popular base, and associated citizens in Lebanon. He added that the Israeli regime maintains a presence in Lebanon with the intention of occupying it within the framework of the “Greater Israel” project, and that resistance emerged due to this aggression and occupation.
Sheikh Qassem described the joint US-Israeli ground, sea, and air aggression against civilians as a major war and a significant threat, asserting that the conflict was initiated to eradicate Hezbollah’s existence.
He further clarified that the Lebanese people, through their steadfastness reminiscent of Karbala, managed to halt this aggression and achieve a significant accomplishment. Sheikh Naim Qassem concluded by stating that they have defeated the Israeli-American project and entered a new phase, requiring anyone wishing to act to base their actions on this new reality.
