US Vice President’s Claims on Iran Ceasefire Agreement Contradicted by CENTCOM Actions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Vice President JD Vance has asserted that Iran has signed a ceasefire agreement and that the United States is adhering to it. This assertion comes despite the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) for the Middle East admitting to conducting airstrikes on areas in southern Iran hours prior, an action widely regarded as a violation of any existing ceasefire or understanding.
Vance further stated that if Iran has any disagreements regarding the implementation of the agreement, it can communicate with U.S. officials. However, he warned that any act of aggression would be met with a forceful response. This stance is notable given that U.S. actions, specifically airstrikes on Iranian territory, appear to be the breach of the understood agreement.
Reports from informed sources, cited by Mehr News Agency, indicate that a projectile struck a telecommunications tower in the Sirik region. These sources also confirmed that warning shots were fired at non-compliant Iranian vessels disrupting maritime navigation several hours before the incident involving the tower.
