Venezuela Earthquake Death Toll Reaches 1,430, Thousands Injured

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the number of fatalities from the recent earthquake in Venezuela has reached 1,430, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Reuters. The number of injured in the incident was reported as 3,200, and the number of homeless following this catastrophe was cited as 3,100.
Al Jazeera, in a separate report quoting the Speaker of the Venezuelan Parliament, indicated that following two earthquakes in the country, the number of deceased had risen to 1,430, with the number of injured exceeding 3,238. Earlier, Al Arabiya had reported that the United Nations estimated the number of missing persons in the wake of these two earthquakes to be over 50,000.
The international body announced on Friday that rescue teams from 17 countries would be deployed to participate in search operations in Venezuela. The magnitude of the powerful earthquakes in Venezuela was calculated to be over 7 on the Richter scale. It has also been reported that a significant number of buildings in Venezuela have been severely damaged as a result of these earthquakes.
